24/7 Overnight Home Boarding and Medical Support For Your Beloved Canine Friend
More about me and why I opened my home canine medical care boarding business...
Just to let you know my background, I received my B.A. from Indiana University in 1987 with a double major in Journalism/Political Science; an M.A. from Colorado State University in 1991 in Scientific Writing, and my D.V.M from Colorado State University in 1995.
I went on to further my training with a small animal internship and a residency in Medical Oncology at University of California-Davis. After this, I started my small animal medicine career at VCA Arrighetti Animal Hospital from 1999-2002, and continued at Eldorado Animal Clinic from 2002-2020.
At this time, I am the only veterinarian in New Mexico offering 24/7 home medical boarding. The reality is our veterinary hospitals are often short staffed, and many clients do not wish to leave their dog in a traditional boarding kennel.
With reverence for all,

The Details...
My name is Leslie K. Eisert, DVM. I am currently offering overnight care for special needs pups, senior citizens and other canine fur babies in my home.
I live on 17 wooded acres (3 acres fully fenced) in La Barbaria Canyon, Santa Fe NM. My property has an active stream and boasts evergreens and a virgin aspen forest!
In terms of my background, I am a retired Santa Fe veterinarian with over 25 years of experience specializing in medical oncology, geriatric medicine and hospice care. I am happy to "pet uber" your pup to your vet for any needed care, and to our newly opened veterinary emergency hospital if necessary.
Nutrition is paramount to our pets' health, and so I prepare organic home cooked, grass fed grass finished meats, vegetables and carbs. I supplement with Farmer's Dog as well. All treats are home-baked by me, and I can certainly handle any dietary requests. If your vet prefers the current diet, then that is fine too!
Prices range from 175$ to 250$ per night per dog. New client fee is 200$ per dog per night. Lowest range of 175$ is for my repeat clients whose dogs require minimal care such as oral medications. Dogs needing regular physical therapy, injections, blood glucose monitoring, etc will be charged 225$ per night. This includes my own pet uber to your clinic for treatments and therapy. Paraplegic dogs in carts requiring regular bladder expression and bathing will be charged 250$ per night. Max weight for pups in carts is 25 lbs. For dogs who suffer reactivity to strange people and/or dogs I request the ability to give anti-anxiety medications approved by your veterinarian. These dogs will be charged 250$ per night, as I will need to have my dogs moved out of the house during the stay.
I do ask for a 50% deposit at time of drop off, balance due at time of pick up. Payment in form of cash or check, cash preferred if possible.
Please call, text or email me to arrange a visit and discuss your pup's needs!
